I'd like to start out by asking for some prayer for us and Brian's family. His grandma is going downhill fast and is now in hospice. They're expecting her to go at anytime. She's been sick for awhile and has recently deteriorated very quickly. We saw her Friday night and I saw her Saturday before Pita Pocket's party. She was alert and able to talk to us and hold Abby, but now she's in a comatose state. She's ready to go home and was in great spirits about it, so for that I'm thankful!
So, now I'll try to catch you up a bit. Thursday, I got home from work and we had leftovers for dinner. I got Piglet to giggle for the first time. It was sort of a half giggle, but she did it nonetheless. I'm so glad I was the first. Hubby's mom has been on a mission to do it, but I was going to have to kill her if she got Piglet to giggle for her first, so I'm glad I won't be going to jail! ha ha. Friday was a busy day at work. I went at lunch to the health food store and got some of that Fenugreek that Sebbiedue suggested. One of the side effects from taking that is that your sweat and urine smell like maple syrup. Funny, huh? I found that out to be true!
Anyway, I stopped at Jc Penney on my way home from work to get Piglet's pictures. They're very cute. I wish we had more with her smiling, but that's okay. There's always the 6 mos. pics. I got home from work and wasn't sure what to do about dinner. Hubby left work a little early b/c they were slow and sending people home. He also wasn't feeling very well when he got home. We decided to order sandwiches from Sarpino's. We had just ordered them when my MIL called to talk to hubby. Apparently, they were having either her or one of her sisters stay with his grandma at all times since she was so weak and needed help getting up to use her potty chair. Well, hubby's aunt had to run home to get some things, so since we live 5 minutes from the retirement home, his mom asked if hubby could go over there and stay for about an hour until his aunt gets back. Hubby said okay, so he got ready to go. I told him I'd wait for the sandwiches to get there and then come over and bring Piglet to see her. I got over there around 7 and his grandma held Piglet very briefly. She was very weak, so she couldn't really hold her much. I sat in front of her so that she could at least look at Piglet. It was so cute b/c she started talking to Piglet and Piglet just smiled and smiled. I was so glad!!! It made hubby's grandma's day! I only stayed until about 7:30 b/c Piglet was getting fussy. I got home and fed Piglet and quickly ate my sandwich. I got Piglet to bed around 8:30 and hubby still wasn't home yet! My MIL called and when I told her he wasn't home yet, she felt bad that her sister was taking so long. Hubby eventually got home around 9. He said he was feeling worse and turns out he had a fever of 101! Poor thing! He couldn't even eat (that's when I know he's really sick! ha ha).
Saturday morning, we all got up at 6:30. Hubby had to go potty and Piglet woke up to eat. After that, we were all awake. Hubby was feeling a little better and wanted me to make pancakes. I got out the box of Aunt Jemima mix and read the directions. Yes, I had to read the directions b/c I've never made pancakes before. I know, I know....They turned out okay, but could have been better!
I got my shower and got ready and Piglet and I headed off to Pita Pocket's party. Hubby wanted to go, but after his fever the night before, we were afraid he had something and didn't want to pass it on. We stopped by hubby's grandma's to see her again. She held Piglet again for a brief minute and I got a picture. Hubby's aunt was there, so I stayed only a few minutes to chat. It tires grandma out to talk much b/c she's on oxygen all the time now, so I didn't want to stay long.
We got to Pita Pocket's party and I was overwhelmed by the site of a bunch of "little people". It really frightens me to think that I'll be doing this stuff for Piglet in a few years. It was a great party, though! Elvis and HBM did a fantastic job with all the elephant stuff! I left right before the cake (I'm very sad about that!) b/c I had to make a stop on my way home and I knew Piglet would be hungry soon. I left the party and went by my parents for a bit. My brothers don't see Piglet that often, but it's not like they can't stop over anytime (hint hint!). We left there and had to go to Kroger. Thankfully Piglet didn't start crying until we got back in the car.
Hubby started running a fever again Saturday night. It was weird. He didn't have any other symptoms but achiness. Piglet slept well again Saturday night. I was so glad!
Piglet woke up around 6:30, so I got up and fed her and put her back to bed. She slept another hour before waking up and crying. I brought her in bed with us and slept until 9:30. Then we got ready and headed to church. We were waaayyy down in numbers. Don't people pay attention to the clock changing thing or are they just too lazy about losing an hour of sleep? Anyway, it was sad. I think Sebbiedue, me, and one other person were clapping.
I got home and we ate lunch and then Piglet and I laid down to take a nap. She slept about an hour. I got up and watched a movie and then cleaned and put in some laundry. Piglet started to get really fussy and I thought she felt warm so I took her temp. The first time I took it was 99.7 and the second time (rectally) was 99.8. I gave her some Children's Motrin and gave her a bath and fed her and put her to bed. Thankfully she slept well all night and didn't have a fever this morning. I'm wondering if she's teething. Is it too early? She just turned 4 months old yesterday. She's been eating her fingers like crazy and she's starting to drool a tiny bit. She goes for her 4 month checkup Thursday, so I guess I'll find out then.
That about covers it. I appreciate the prayers for Hubby's grandma and our family! It's at least nice to know that she's at peace with everything and she's on morphine at Hospice, so she's not feeling any pain right now. Sorry for the novel!

So sorry about Hubby's grandma...at least you got some pics that is awesome. Just a thought about Piglet's fever...did you give her infant's motrin, or children's, there is a difference.
Praying for you all, hope Piglet's doc appt goes well, you will have to post her stats!!!
Lots of love
It was infant's. Thanks for asking! I never would have thought there was a difference anyway!
You will treasure those pictures forever!!! I also take a ton of pictures with Hubby's grandparents and my grandparents. I'm just so glad that his grandma is so ready to go home! What a blessing to know that she is at peace and she has her grandchildren and children taking care of her and bringing her the great grandchildren to make her day! Prayers will be said!!!!
Pita Pocket got his FIRST tooth at THREE months!!!! (yikes is right) It is not too early. She seems to have the signs (drooling, temperature) and she might starting having diarrhea (but the doctors will NEVER tell you that those things really happen)!
Lots of Love!

Well, at least your urine and sweat smell like something good. It could be worse, like bad eggs or something... I'm so gross.
Are you going to post Piglet's pictures? I'm dying to see her, I just love looking at her cutsie little face! She makes me smile.
I've never made pancakes either. I make waffles and still have to look at the directions every time!
