Wow...I can't believe it's been since last Tuesday since I posted. I could have sworn I've posted since then. Let's see if I can catch you up.....
Wednesday was an easy day at work. We closed at 2:30. I ran to Value City to return something before going home. Then I made the sweet potato casserole that was for my Mom's. I went ahead and made it so she could take it with her and they could pop it in the oven before we got there for Thanksgiving. My parents left and I cleaned some. I can't really remember what I did after that.
Thursday, we were all up bright and early. I made the green bean casserole for Hubby's family's dinner. We watched the parade and got ready to go. We were supposed to be at Hubby's aunt's house by12:30, but we were late, as usual. Well, I wasn't late, but Hubby was. He definitely fits the phrase "you'll be late for your own funeral". So, anyway, we had lunch at Hubby's aunt's. Piglet was pretty freaked out. There were a lot of people there and she basically only wanted me. A couple of times, Hubby even tried to take her and she screamed. She's just not used to being around such big groups of people. We had a good time there and then left around 3. We headed to Hubby's cousin's house on his Mom's side where they were having their dinner. We just stayed for about an hour to visit. We have so many little ones on that side of the family now. His cousin already had a 4 yr. old and then there's Piglet, Hubby's cousin's youngest, who's about 2 1/2 months old now, and then the Eskimo baby, a.k.a. Little A. We had a good time visiting there. We left around 4:45 to head to my parents house. We had dinner there and then Hubby and I played Texas Hold Em with my brothers. I suck at it. Of course, I had never played before either, but we played 2 rounds and I lost both. We would have played longer but it was already 8:30 and Piglet was very tired. She actually did really well for being up so late and for it being such a long day! Oh, I forgot to mention that one of Hubby's aunt's gave Piglet a birthday present. They got her a Winnie The Pooh storybook and an outfit. She LOVES the book! With each page, it talks and reads the book.
Friday, Hubby had to work. I woke up around 6:30 b/c Hubby kept coming in the room and waking me up. I have to interject something real quick. I'm typing this on the laptop and Piglet's sitting next to me playing with the remote. Well, all of a sudden, she started smacking the keyboard and I told her to stop. Well, she kept smacking it and for some reason, I got the giggles. Well, she started giggling too! It was the funniest thing! Okay, back to my story, so after Piglet's morning nap, we got ready and ventured to Walmart. I really didn't want to go, but I needed some things for Piglet's party that I knew would be much cheaper there, rather than Kroger. Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad. We got the things we needed there and then headed to Kroger. I got a few groceries and picked up Piglet's birthday cake. I got her a Princess cake. We ended up accidentally going with a princess/Baby Einstein theme. The invitations we sent to our family were the Baby Einstein and then I had the matching plates, napkins, and a 1st birthday hat for Piglet. Well, Kroger didn't do Baby Einstein cakes, but they did a princess cake (Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella). Then I ran to Kroger early Saturday morning to get balloons and they happened to have a Princess balloon blown up, so I got that one and a Winnie the Pooh one. Anyway, I spent the rest of the day cleaning and folding laundry. I HATE folding laundry! Hubby got off work a little early, which was nice. Piglet wasn't eating that much, for some reason. She wouldn't eat her dinner and she hardly ate anything yesterday. She also had some nasty diarrhea. Aren't you glad I shared that? Hope you're not eating while you're reading..... She didn't get up until 8:30 Saturday morning, took an hour and a half nap around 10 (I even woke her up) and then took another 2 hour nap after her party and went to bed at 8pm! The girl must have a bug. She acted funny all day yesterday. She still has diarrhea this morning, so I'm keeping her home. I don't want to give any of the little ones in the nursery a bug. I haven't been feeling great, myself, but it could have just been something I ate yesterday....hopefully!
So, back to Saturday.....We had Piglet's birthday party at noon. Hubby made sloppy joes, I made cheesy potatoes, and we had chips. We just invited our immediate families since our house is so small. We were busting at the seams just with them! Piglet got some great toys and only one outfit! I thought that was kind of funny. She got the Vtech Baby V-smile, the Little Leaps Leap Pad, that thing you've probably seen on TV that's a Zebra you can ride. It bounces and turns. I think it's a little too big for her, but she'll grow into it. She also got a couple of books for her Leap Pad, another cartridge for her V-smile, a Leap Frog walker, and some other stuff. She really made out big! We gave her a cupcake to tear into and she wouldn't eat it! She stuck her finger in the icing and then looked at me with her hand out, as if to ask me to please clean it for her. I think it was also b/c she wasn't feeling good. I really wanted her to just dig into the cupcake, but she wouldn't. Probably better for her anyway! After the cake, most everybody left, except The Chad. He stayed to help us put up lights...or rather to put up the lights himself. Hubby can't get up on the ladder, and well, I'm just not great up on a ladder myself. I ended up having to run to Kmart to buy new lights and an extension cord. The Chad also got out our tree box for us. It's too heavy for Hubby to be lifting with his back, and I can't lift it. After The Chad left, we pretty much just crashed. We were both too tired to put up the tree, so we just relaxed. Piglet had a nasty diarrhea diaper, which got on her clothes, so I put her in the bathtub a little early. She was so tired. She ended up going to bed a little early too.
This morning, Piglet woke me up bright and early at 6:30am. Of all the mornings to wake up early! I cleaned up the kitchen from yesterday. It was a disaster! I put Piglet down for a nap around 8 and then put up the tree. We have one of those pre-lit ones, which is great, except some of the strands are out, so we have to add in extra lights, so I'll let Hubby do that when he gets up. Piglet didn't sleep long at all. I went into cover her up and she woke up. I just left her, hoping she would go back to sleep, but she kept crying, so when I went into get her, I found another diarrhea diaper. Poor baby. She must have some kind of bug. So, we're just going to be home today, I guess. I forgot to mention that Piglet stood on her own a couple of times yesterday. I don't even think she realized it. She had been playing with her walker and all of a sudden let go and was standing by herself! She's going to be walking before I know it and then I'll really be in trouble!
Well, I need to go out this afternoon and look for something to wear to my Christmas party next Saturday. I'm not happy with what I previously bought, so I'm going to look for something else. It's so hard to find cute fat girl clothes!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Love you all!

YEAH!!! I was just thinking "I wonder how Piglet's birthday party went yesterday" and then I checked to see if you wrote! YEAH!!!!
Sorry she isn't feeling well. Pita Pocket was the SAME way for his first birthday party. The problem was, we took him to the doctor the day before, so he was like that from his shots. AND...he touched the cake and did the same thing! It's like "You want me to do WHAT". It sounds like she made out big time with those presents. Did she get the baby v-smile? Let me know how that works out. Pita Pocket wants to get it for Booty, but of course, it's WAAAAY too early now.
I'm sorry that Piglet still isn't feeling well. Every time I turn around there is something going around. I blame the weather...hot one day, freezing the next. I just hope ya'll don't get it.
Hope you have a wonderful week! I can't believe Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is on its way!
Lots of Love!
