So, I didn't blog yesterday b/c I didn't have time....I was at home with Abby all day! My Mom was sick and my MIL had to go to Clayton to watch Alli, so we didn't have anyone. That's the only bad part about using our Moms to watch Abby...we have no backups! I hated to have to use a vacation day, but what are you gonna do? So, Abby and I had a "Mommy and Me" day. After she got up and ate breakfast, we went to Walmart so I could get some stuff for dinner. Then we stopped at The Greene so I could return some pants I got a couple of weeks ago. I also ran into The Children's Place and Gymboree to look for some sleepers for Abby. I couldn't find any at Walmart. She only has 2 that fit her now. Walmart had some just a couple of weeks ago, but I couldn't find any. Anyway, it was still really cloudy, so we didn't hang out at The Greene too long. We got home, I gave Abby some milk, and then put her down for a nap. That child laid awake and talked and talked and talked! At about 12:30, I saw Brian's grandma pull up outside. Since Abby was still awake, I went in and got her up. Apparently Brian's grandma was thinking that my MIL would be there with both girls, but that was actually today, so anyway, she still came in and we chatted for a bit. Abby was her usual shy self, but she did at least smile a few times. After his grandma left, I put her back down and about 20 minutes later she fell asleep. Brian got home and he was tired from not sleeping much the night before, so we both laid down to take a nap. Well, no sooner did I drift off to dreamland that Abby woke up! Arrgghhh....I NEVER take naps and the one day I do, Abby decides to wake up early. She only slept about an hour and 15 minutes! Little booger! So, we got up, I fed her lunch, and then we took a walk. We walked several streets over and just all around the neighborhood. I don't stay out too long with her or go too far in case she gets cranky. We did go over to the crappy park down the street and I tried to push her in the swing, but she didn't like it, so we only stayed there a few minutes. We got home and relaxed. Well, I did. Abby decided to climb all over me. I've had the worse cramps the last 2 months with TOM. Aren't you glad I told you that? Anyway, I actually called my doctor yesterday b/c I've never had them for much more than a day and I'm going on day 3. I would think if it's the birth control that it would have started when I started taking it in October, so why now? I'm going to the doctor in a couple of weeks, so we'll see what they say. Anyway, I made stir fry for dinner. You know, it just hasn't come out quite as good as the first time I made it. I'm not sure why. I hate that when you make something that you don't measure and then you just can't get it the same every time.
One funny thing Abby's been doing is that she'll hold the phone up to her ear and say "Hi". That's all she says, though. It's so funny! It took us awhile to realize she was really saying "Hi" and not just babbling. She loves playing with the phone! I just have to watch b/c sometimes she calls people! LOL.
Well, once again Sanjaya made it through. I shouldn't worry too much, though, b/c he'll go eventually. I didn't care much for Brandon either, so it was no biggie for me. I was so surprised that both Brandon and Haley forgot their words. That has rarely happened before....especially at this stage of the competition. Bummer! I was just telling my Mom that this year is so different. There just aren't very many really good singers on there. There's a few really good singers and several mediocre ones. It's just a weird year for Idol!
Well, I'd better get back to work. I don't know about you, but I miss the 70 degree weather we had the last 2 days! Love you all!

Hey! Sorry that I have been a lurker!!! But I have kept up with you! I am glad that Brian went to church with you on Sunday....hopefully going to ED will be good for your family - that is the most important thing! So, praying....
I agree with you about the house thing - I would want to have an offer or something on your house before buying another....especially with the housing market what it is right now. But looking is so much fun!!!
I am in the same boat as you with having to take off work when a "sitter" or mom can't watch the kids. It is a bummer....but still better than paying out the ying yang for child-care!
And I also agree about AI. I was so suprised that Brandon went home....and that he forgot his words. however, he could've been humming and been better than Sanjaya! That kid has to GO! And I agree with the talent commment about AI....and I really LOVE Melinda, however I don't know if I see her as a Pop Idol in today's music scene....she is too classy, I think...or something. I just can't really see her as a "pop-star". But it was funny that Simon compared her to a young Gladys Knight last night....my mom did the same thing last week!!!
Well, sorry for a book....but I had to get caught up! Love ya!
I'm just laughing at her talking instead of sleeping. That was SOOOOO my abbi also. I'd crack up at her singing when she should be napping or counting it just brought back good memories. See that wasn't that long ago and I had already forgot. Got to start writing these things down. Ok thinking outloud here. Your trip to the park sounds like fun sorry its a crappy park. I dont' know which one you are talking about. I really like the one behind the church for the little ones. Madison doesn't like it she begs to not go to that one. Well off to bed now I'll talk to ya later sorry I never wrote ya back today time got away from me and next thing I knew you weren't at work anymore anyways. Later Tater:)
I wish I could see Abby. She seems to just be a cutie with all the stories you are telling! Sorry you had to use a vacation day, but sounds like you had a great day. I love "Mommy and Me" time!
AI is getting on my nerves....where is the talent? Don't tell me they ran out after last year...this WILL be a girl's year...or at least it better be! lol!
Lots of Love!
