Ugghh....That's how I'm feeling at this moment. It could be b/c I just wolfed down a Smart Ones fettucini alfredo and practically half a loaf of garlic bread. Okay, enough about that...
We're leaving for Van Wert, OH tomorrow for The Nurse's wedding. The hotel is driving me crazy. I've called twice now to ask about early check-in, so that I can make it to the informal bridal party luncheon at 1pm and then Hubby and Piglet can go onto the room. Well, they won't give me a straight answer on if we can do that or not, so I guess we'll probably wing it. I mean, seriously, do you think the Holiday Inn in Van Wert, OH is really going to be booked on a Thursday night so much so that they can't have a room ready early on Friday? Retarded!
*I stink of garlic now. Yuck!*
So, we had quite the family feud going on there for a few days. Not my family, but Hubby's. I'll try to give you the rundown.....We're all going to his family reunion in a couple of weeks (FIL, MIL, SIL, BIL, and us). Well, in the past, since we all stay in the same cabin together, we bring food to share. Last year, SIL and BIL brought breakfast. Well, they brought bagels, stale donuts, and bruised bananas. Regardless of that fact, breakfast is the cheapest meal to bring. Well, this year they jumped at the chance to bring breakfast again. Hubby and I were talking about it and thought that to make it fair for everyone, we should make a list of food to bring and split it up equally. So, we were over at FIL and MIL's Saturday night and Hubby brings our idea up to SIL. Now, it's just the 4 of us there. (SIL, BIL, Hubby, and me) So, SIL immediately gets defensive and asks why the change since it "worked well" last year. Well, unfortunately Hubby, for some odd reason, doesn't explain himself very well and gets irritated with SIL. Now, BIL and I are staying out of it, even though looking back, I should have interjected to explain Hubby better. So, anyway, Hubby, in an effort to make light of the situation, makes a joke about the stale donuts from last year. Big mistake! In his defense, we did joke about it last year and he was trying to lighten the mood. Well, it didn't work. He did apologize to her later on and try to explain where he was coming from. Well, apparently after we left, SIL and BIL told the in-laws about it. MIL called Hubby Sunday night and went on about how he shouldn't have said that to SIL. Blah blah. Well, he was trying to explain what happened and I guess MIL wasn't listening. Hubby got mad and hung up on her. I got on him about that, but he was really upset at her, and I can't blame him. Anyway, it ended up that Hubby wrote SIL an email yesterday apologizing and she said she had forgotten about it and it was no big deal. What??!!! You make a big deal out of it to your mom and dad (making us look bad) and then you're all of a sudden over it? Well, we just let it go. It's not worth it. It's just frustrating that MIL didn't even bother listening to Hubby. Anyway, that's that.
Piglet hasn't been going to sleep very well the past few nights. She either wakes up as I'm getting ready to put her in bed or she wakes up after about an hour or so after I put her down. Last night she woke up a little after 11, right as I was falling asleep. It took until almost 1 to get her back to sleep. I wonder if she's teething. It seems a slow process. I heard the longer it takes for their first tooth, the better. I noticed on Sunday that CLW has 2 teeth and she's only 2 months older than Piglet. I think it's so cute when they only have a couple of teeth! Anyway, I guess I should be glad. It means I don't have to brush them!
Tomorrow will be hectic. I'm going to pack everything I can tonight. Hubby has a doctor's appt. at 9 and I have to take Maddy, our dog, out to the in-law's house in Waynesville. One of my brothers usually stays with the animals, but they're coming up with my parents tomorrow for the wedding too. They didn't want to drive up on Saturday morning. I think our dog would be fine by herself for one night, as long as someone came to let her out, but Hubby thinks she needs company. Notice he's not the one driving all the way to Waynesville to drop her off......
Well, that's all I have enough energy for to ramble about. Hope everyone's well. I think I'm commenting on everyone's journals. Sometimes I read them and think I'll comment later and then forget, so don't think you're not loved by me if I haven't commented! :)
Have a great weekend Journal Goddesses....

I love how you balanced your Smart Ones with half a loaf of garlic bread...love it!!! Aren't family fueds just the greatest...I don't have them in my family cuz we hardly see each other or talk...my mom told my sister about Boo's GI test then prompted her to call me. Baby's family, well we really only fight when I'm pregnant and the whole family decides that they should be able to be in the room while I'm giving birth!!!! Yeah so we'll see what happens when we get preggo with #3. :) Hope the wedding goes well...at least it is free food and you will be with friends. NOthing better than that. I think that Harmony Girl and Geez's wedding was the most fun, even more than ours b/c my mom was a butt!!
Ok so I just journaled in your blog, sorry. Have fun this weekend. You should come to Tim's on Sunday it's the women's turn. :)
Hey...thanks Minnie for saying how fun our wedding was! That was nice!
Yeah...welcome to our daily family feuds, it seems! Funny how SIL got upset over something pretty minor. You would think they could compromise! GEESH! The joy of in-laws!....they really are great...but sometimes, ARGH!
I hope the wedding and everything before and after it go smoothly. I think I have talked myself out of coming up. I have so much to do for FAB's party on Sunday....and I don't really want to drive up with the kids by myself. So, I will be there in spirit!!!!
Love you and have safe travels this weekend!
Hi Sara! I have moved my blog! I'm not lost in the woods or anything.
Have a great weekend. Hope Piglet will sleep better for you soon! (Although you should be brushing her gums even though she doesn't have teeth. Joe always loved it when I did his gums, especially as he started to teeth.)
Anyways, just wanted to let you know I'd moved! (Seems like I'm always moving...)
I'm sorry about the fued. Glad you and BIL stayed out of it....probably kept you two in the will! LOL!!!!
Have a good time this weekend at the wedding. I really don't think it will be a problem to get there early. Just tell them that someone needs to keep your child then while you're gone.....you'll get a room!! LOL!
Be safe and we'll see ya soon!
Lots of Love!
I wanted to let you know that here it is common to watch them bury the dead. (does that sound harsh?) The funeral home has chairs out for a small talk or whatever around the plot and then dismisses everybody. People can stay if they want, but right then and there, the four guys come out and bury and cover up the grave.
Just thought I'd let you know...it's just a natural thing down south! LOL!
Lots of Love!
All my kids got teeth at different times. I think CLW has been the earliest so far, but I don't keep track of things like that. My kids are gonna hate me! First steps? yeah, well, I remember Yang because he was so early, don't ask about the others. I remember 1st words, though, I guess that's something.
Have a great time at the wedding! With Penny & Nurse planning everything, this ought to a lovely weekend! Much love!
