Brrrrr!

We're having Michigan weather, not Ohio weather!!!! I couldn't believe it when I saw that it was -4 degrees this morning! Crazy!

So, my weekend was pretty much spent inside! I did go have my massage Saturday morning and it was wonderful!!!! My dad came over to watch Piglet (and hubby...ha ha) and I went to Oney's. It was sooo nice! I came home and told Hubby to forget anything I've said I want for my birthday and to get me another massage!!! Speaking of my birthday, TOM is due to arrive. Isn't that just fabulous????? I couldn't believe it when I looked at my birth control pack. Happy Birthday to me!

Anyway, I didn't do much else over the weekend but clean and do laundry. I must have done 5 loads of laundry. I also mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors yesterday. I try to do it every other week, but sometimes that just doesn't happen. I stayed home from church Sunday to be with Brian. I'm really worried about him and he desperately needs your prayers....still. Friday, he called his doctor (the surgeon) to get his weekly prescription for the pain meds. Well, he gets a call back from the nurse telling him that the doctor only prescribes pain meds for 3 weeks after surgery and then he's referred to pain management. Well, gee, that would have been nice to know upfront so that Brian could have had an appt. set up. Since our insurance has changed, he'll be referred to a new doctor, but as of right now, he has no pain medicine whatsoever. Can you believe that crap? Brian was so upset and I'm just livid about it. There's nothing we can do, but wait to get a call from the new pain mgt. people to schedule an appt. Arrggghhh! Why this keeps happening to Brian, I have no idea! So, anyway, he's very depressed (obviously) and I'm just so worried about him. I really don't want to leave him alone at this point, so that's why I stayed home. He didn't go to work today. He was awake pretty much all night in pain. It sucks to see him in pain, especially when there's nothing I can do. I know he just wants all this to be over and I can't blame him. We're prepared for him to have to have the fusion surgery....anything to get him out of pain at this point.

Abby is.....Abby. She's walking/running all over the place and wreaking havoc wherever she goes! LOL. She's so funny at this stage, but she's also a holy terror at times. She can throw tantrums with the best of them! I have a couple of funny stories for you. Saturday night, Abby was standing in the middle of the floor and I came up behind her and lifted her upside down (she loves that). Well, I guess I surprised her a bit too much and she threw up! Thankfully it wasn't that much, but the dog happened to be standing under her, so it got some on the dog and a little on the floor. I learned my lesson on that one! My Mom just called me a little bit ago to tell me that Abby was sitting in her chair playing with some little fruits and veggies that make sounds when you squeeze them. Well, my Mom kept hearing this one over and over and she looked over at Abby and Abby was trying to find it too. Well, Abby turned around in her chair and was bending over looking for it and my Mom noticed a bulge in her pants. Well, assuming, Abby had a very interesting poop in there, she took her to her room to change her diaper and low and behold is the carrot that was making the sound down in her pants! Mom has no idea how it got there. I've never seen Abby put anything in her pants, so I'm surprised it was in there, much less in the back of her pants! LOL. Mom was cracking up! Something else Abby's been doing lately that's cracking us up is that she scrunches up her face and smiles. It's hilarious! She was running like that the other day and ran into the front door b/c she scrunches her face so much that her eyes are closed! LOL . She's a strange child, but I love her!

Well, I guess I'd better get back to work. I'm covering the front desk today since the receptionist is off. I hope you all are well! Love you all!

Really?!?!? -4 degrees?!?!? That is nuts!!!! I bet it is cold up there!

I'm so sorry that your hubby is having so much pain. I know that you don't want to leave him alone. I'm praying that it won't be so hard on the three of you.

I wish I could have gotten a picture of the expression on your mom's face when she saw the carrots in Piglet's pants! LOL!

Lots of Love!

LOVE the Abby stories! She is so precious!!! I bet your parents just cherish every moment with her - she isn't going to be spoiled or anything!!!!

Praying for Brian....and you! I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for both of you!

Love ya!
