Checkup

First off, HBM'S PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!! I am so incredibly happy for them! I know that they're not out of the woods yet, so please keep them in your prayers. Right now they're facing major financial worries with not having maternity insurance, so they're dealing with that as well. They need God's peace, comfort, and reassurance now more than ever! I'm praying for you all!

So, Piglet has her 6 month checkup today at 2. I'm leaving work at 1:45 to meet Hubby there with Piglet, then I'm off for the rest of the day. She has to get more shots, which will be hard, but she's done well in the past, so I hope that continues! I'm going to ask about the whole baby food thing. I'm not stressing as much about it now, so thanks for everyone's comments on that! I am, however, worried about her head. When she had her 3 month checkup, one side of her head was flatter than the other b/c she favored sleeping on that side. Well, if you look at the back of her head, you can still tell. I just don't want her to have any problems from that. 2 weeks ago she weighed 11 lbs, so we'll see if she's gained anymore. She's very teeny around, but she's really long! Maybe she'll end up being tall. If that's the case, then the postman must be her daddy. ha ha.

So many babies are popping up now! There's Mac-N-Cheese, her SIL, my SIL, Hubby's cousin, a girl from my work, and now HBM! It's funny how it seems to be feast or famine on things like that. Speaking of babies, my SIL and BIL got it confirmed that they're having a girl. There will be 3 girls less than a year apart in Hubby's family! Crazy! Now thinking about it, I don't know what I'd do with a boy now that I know how a girl "works". Hubby told me the other night that he would be okay with having another girl. I had to say "I told you so!". He wanted a boy so badly when I was pregnant that I told him if he had a girl, he would be so in love with her that he wouldn't even think of a boy. Not only is that true, but now he wants another one! He's crazy. This oven's closed for at least 2 years!

Hubby's getting a second opinion on his back. He meets with a different neurosurgeon on Wednesday. Please be in prayer about that. Everything he's heard, though, is that the guy he originally went to is the best. We'll see. He also meets with a pain mangement counselor in a couple of weeks. We don't know what that will entail. I guess they'll evaluate him and monitor his meds instead of our family doctor. Hubby's going to have a hard time when they take him off the vicodin. He's been on it since January. He already knows his body is addicted to it. This is the kind of stuff he's studied in psychology. Assuming he's having the surgery, he'll have it the first week in December. This way he can complete the fall quarter in school, have the winter break and winter quarter to recover, and hopefully start back to school in the spring quarter. We're thinking positively there in terms of his recovery time. What a headache this all is!

Well, that's about all I have to yack about for now. Hope everyone is well! Hang in there, HBM, and Mac-N-Cheese, no more falling!

How'd the checkup go? Don't worry about her head. Yang preferred one side too, and his head was good 'n' flat! It rounded out nicely, sometime in the last year or so. :)

Funny how the nursery's been full of boys (what's it been? an 8 to 3 ratio?) and now there's a run on girls!

Praying for something positive to come of the 2nd op. I can't imagine what he's going through, and now the vic issue...man!

Have a great week! Much love!
