Fall is almost here!

I'm so excited that the first day of fall is this weekend. Hubby asked me when autumn was and I have no idea! It's before fall, isn't it? Okay, I'm sure none of you care.

Anyway, onto me and my weekend. It's why you're reading, right? So, Friday night, I talked Hubby into chinese. I've been wanting it lately and he rarely ever wants it anymore b/c the chicken's too dry, blah blah blah. It was good. We watched The Sentinel with Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland. Good movie. I recommend it. We didn't do much else.

Saturday, I got up with Piglet. It was still dark!!!!! I could have choked the kid. Okay, not really, but I wasn't in a very good mood. She woke up at 5:30am! So, we got up and I gave her her bottle and I tried to get her to go back to sleep right away and she wasn't having it! I finally got her back down around 6:30. I laid back down too and 45 minutes later when I was just drifting off, she woke up! Little rat! We went over to see Hubby's cousin's baby. She's sooo cute! She has a full head of dark hair. I really hope our second child has that. That's how I came out, so I hoped Piglet would be like that....maybe the next one. We got home and I mowed the yard. I can't wait until I don't have to do that anymore! I had trouble getting the mower started, so Hubby had to come out and start it and then I smashed my fingers...I just wasn't happy! Hubby did cook dinner, though! He was paying attention last week during my rant!

Sunday, was church. The worship service was exceptionally good this week. Not sure why....maybe it was the songs, the praise team, or all of the above. It was great! Then came the dreaded announcement about Elvis and HBM leaving. Even though I knew, it was hard to hear it again. After church, I got Piglet from the nursery and brought her out and my dad went to take her and she wouldn't go to him! He was quite upset! :) Thankfully she redeemed herself this morning when my parents came over and she went right to him. Stinker!

So, after church, I came home and Hubby and I had a long talk. Just some stuff we needed to resolve. This has nothing to do with it, but pray about him and church. I want more than anything for him to come back to church, but nothing I say or do makes a difference. The only one who can do it now is God. He needs to be the one to soften his heart. Anyway, I got Piglet down for a nap and then I left to go to church for the baby shower. It turned out really nice! I got home and did a little more straightening and cleaning and then it was time for choir practice. OH! I was emptying the dishwasher and Hubby came over and helped me finish! Progress.... So, choir was good. I'm sooo glad you're doing it, Mac-n-Cheese! It's so nice to be able to get out of the house, not to mention chat with Pepto and Mac-n-Cheese. I got home and Piglet was still up, so I put her to sleep. MIL called while I was trying to get her to sleep. I was very irritated and it apparently came across in my tone. I got off the phone and Hubby pointed out how "snooty" I sounded. I called her back and apologized. She acted like she didn't know, but I wanted to make sure she knew I didn't mean it that way.

We're getting Piglet's 9 month pictures done Saturday. I think Hubby and I are going to get started on some early Christmas shopping. He got a reimbursement check for school. It's not much, but now's the time to get started on that. I think we're going to BIL and SIL's for dinner Saturday night. We haven't gotten together with them in a very long time, so that will be nice. They can show off the nursery and we'll give some unsolicited advice....etc. Hope everyone has a good Monday!
