Catchy title, huh? I thought that one up all on my own. So, here's what's been happening with me...
Thursday- Brian's birthday
I left work at 3 and ran home to pick up Abby. Brian went to get his license renewed and Abby and I went to get his cake. It was sooo yummy, by the way! We got back and started packing a little. We met his family at BD's Mongolian BBQ and had a nice dinner. Brian liked his gifts from us (a Big Dog T-shirt from Abby and an Ipod adapter/charger for the car from me.) We got home and packed and watched Big Brother.
Friday
We were all up early. We got ready and headed to Walmart to get some things for the trip. $90 later, we were leaving. Sheesh! We got home and finished packing and got ready and took off. We had a good trip down. Abby slept the first 30 minutes and then was awake the rest of the time! We had a little bit of trouble with the directions, but finally made it down/over there. The house was just so nice! It's an old farmhouse that's been partially updated. There's still some original wood in it and things like that. I just loved it! We had a nice bedroom with a king sized bed and bathroom. Abby did great in the pack-n-play! I think mostly b/c both nights, she got to bed late, so she was exhausted! We had such a fun time!
Saturday
Saturday morning, Brian's Mom and his aunt watched the girls for us, so his cousin, Laura, and I could go into town and shop in peace. We just went in and out of different little shops and bought some homemade fudge (yum!) and then we visited a winery. Boy was that good! We bought 3 bottles to take back for that night. We got back after a couple of hours and just hung around the house. Brian fished all day on Saturday at the pond. He was in heaven! I went up a couple of times (I say "up" b/c you had to walk up a hill to get to the pond. weird huh?) and casted out myself and I actually caught one! Of course, I wouldn't bait the hook or take the fish off. Brian had to do all of that. LOL. I'm a girl, I know!
So, Saturday night, we all got ready and headed to the main lodge at the park and had dinner. It sucked. The "reunion" part of it was boring....all they did was give updates on people who hadn't been there in awhile and the food at the dining place sucked! We got back to the house and I put Abby to sleep and all of the rest of the kiddos were put to sleep and then we opened the wine. Now, I'm an occasional wine drinker...maybe once every few months. Well, this wine was soooo good! Before I knew it, I'm flushed and giggling. LOL. We just had the best time, though. We all sat outside. Someone had built a big fire in the firepit and all the girls sat around it while the guys sat on the patio and we just laughed up a storm! It was so much fun! They all made fun of me for being tipsy, but I didn't care!
Sunday
Sunday morning, we all got up and had a big breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast. Then we all got packed up and headed out. We decided that since this was our only vacation, we'd stop at my in-laws and swim on the way home. In hindsight, that was a dumb idea b/c we were tired from the 3 hour drive, but whatever. We didn't stay very long. The water was cold anyway. So, we got home and unpacked and then just relaxed and ordered pizza!
Monday
Monday morning, we got up and got ready and headed to my in-laws to swim. Abby went down for her nap and we enjoyed the pool. It was much better when the sun finally came out. After Abby got up, we got her in the pool. She loves the water! She just thinks she can take off and swim, though. We finally left there and went home and had lasagna for dinner. We also watched "Premonition". It was a good movie!
Tuesday
Brian went back to work yesterday, but I was off. It was so nice to spend the day with Abby. It really makes me sad to have to work and not be able to stay home with her. She woke me up at 7am. Grrrr! I got up and got her some breakfast and I got on the treadmill. Then I took a shower and we went to Kroger to get groceries. We had just enough time to get home and put the cold stuff away before we had to go meet Dawn and the girls for breakfast at Cracker Barrell. It was so yummy! We had a good time! I think Madison wished Abby would have talked, though. LOL. Madison kept trying to talk to her and Abby wasn't being cooperative. We left and Dawn got a good picture of Abby in one of the rockers. See below. Abby and I went home and she went down for her nap and I folded laundry and dusted the living room. After she got up, I vacuumed the kitchen and living room while she ate her lunch. Then we had to run back to Kroger b/c I realized I had forgotten a few things. I made a big dinner last night; BBQ pork chops, real mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and wheat rolls. I wasn't crazy about the mashed potatoes, but I think it might be b/c I left the skins on. Anyway, then we watched Big Brother and I read my book and went to sleep!
So, that about sums up the last few days for me. My cousin, Lesley, is coming down Friday for the weekend! I'm excited about that! I'm trying to catch up on your journals. It's amazing how much I miss in a few days!

The picture is cute!!! Dawn takes the best pictures, but she had a great subject to work with too!
Sounds like you had some good time off. I'm glad you got to do some shopping and Brian got to do some fishin'. Sounds like a relaxing weekend.
Lots of Love!
What a cutie picture!!!!! I just can't get over how much she looks like Brian. Man you were busy last weekend!!!
I would have paid to see you tipsy...I bet you are just like Danny. Whenever he gets tipsy or drunk (which isn't very often) I make him call his whole family and any friends I can think of that may still be awake. Then I sit back and try not to pee my pants from laughing. My thought is why should I be the only one having a Great laugh?!?!?!?!?
Hope this weekend is as good as last weekend!
Love ya
