I'm alive!

Sheesh....it's sad when I look at my last post and I'm actually surprised it's been over a week! Well, LOTS has been going on with me, so I'll try to give you a brief update:

Me-

Had my 6 month checkup last week and everything looks good. I'll be scheduled for a c-section either July 25th (Fri) or July 28th (Mon). The reason we're unsure of the date is because I prefer the 25th so that Brian will have to miss less work and it's easier for family, etc, however, I'm not 39 weeks until the 28th and according to my doctor, Kettering can be a real stickler about making you wait until then, so we'll see. I'll find out for sure as it gets closer. I'm supposed to do my diabetes test in the next couple of weeks, so I'm hoping I pass that! I definitely love my ice cream right now!

Most of you already know it's been a stressful week. My Dad had a stroke last Saturday night, so the first few days, especially, were stressful, but things are better now. He was very lucky! Apparently the part of the brain that suffered the stroke could have killed him if the stroke had been anymore serious. He lost complete use of his left side and he was slurring some with his speech. The blessing is that he was approved for the hospital's rehab facility where he'll stay for about 2 weeks and he also qualified for a financial assistance program the hospital has that will cover his stay completely! Talk about a huge burden being lifted! He officially started the therapy on Wednesday and he's so worn out. They're really working him hard and my Dad's no slacker! Thank you all so much for the prayers!!!!

Brian-

Brian once again suffered a setback today. I won't go into it b/c honestly I just don't feel like it, but he needs your prayers. This could actually turn around and be a big blessing, but only time will tell. He's hanging in there, as always! Work was going better for him and then the pettiness came back, so whatever. It was good while it lasted! lol.

Abby-

She's such an enigma! lol. She has the sweetest moments and then I could literally (okay, not REALLY literally) kill her the next! We're having a very hard time with discipline with her right now. NOTHING WORKS!!!!! She's stubborn and defiant and hard-headed and just arrgghhh! ha! She loves church though! When we are on our way home, I'll ask her if she had fun in her class and she always says yes and then I ask her what she learned about and she'll say, "Jesus" and then when I've asked her what else, she says "God." Now that is amazing b/c she hasn't gotten that from us. I know that's something she's specifically remembered from her class, you know? I just love it! We obviously sing Jesus Loves Me and things like that, so she's heard the Jesus reference before, but for her to say "God" I just love it!

She has no clue that a baby brother is about to rock her world in a few months. We talk about it, but she really doesn't get it. She'll be in for a rude awakening!

She's in her tumbling class every Saturday now and loving it. Last week she actually did more than jumping on trampolines, so that was something! lol.

Baby Boy-

Healthy as far as we know.....still no name! We're working on it.

That about sums it up! Thanks again for the prayers for my Dad! Keep them coming! He's got a long road ahead to get back to "normal".....Love you all!

I'm so glad your dad is okay! We've been thinking about him all week. And that is wonderful about the assistance that he'll be getting! GOD IS GOOD!!!!

WOW! It's hard to believe that we'll be having our babies about 3 weeks apart. I can't wait to hear a name...and yep, he's gonna rock her world! lol!

Sorry about the setback. Brian's world is about to be changed too. I know that he can overcome all of this. Praying for him!

Lots of Love!

So glad to hear that things are working out for your Dad at the hospital!! Not worrying about where the money's coming from will just let him focus more on his rehab!! That's such a blessing!! :)

I can't begin to understand how my Abbey's gonna handle a baby brother, either!! LOL She's doing this stuff right now, like, acting like a baby (baby talk, fake baby crying, wanting to be held, and wants (mainly at Mammy & Papa's house) us to hold her sippy cup for her like a baby...that one really bugs me!! LOL) Anyways, my Mom says that that will get worse before it gets better...I can't believe she's speaking from experience with me!! LOL :)

Still praying, girl!! :) I am so glad I only have a couple more weeks...hopefully less!! :) LOL
