Stuff, stuff and more stuff!!!!

Let's see....I'm not even sure I could completely recap you if I wanted to, so I'll just share things as they come to me....ha!

This past weekend was busy. Dawn watched Abby for me Friday (God bless her again!) since Brian had to work, my MIL had to work, and with my Dad still in the hospital, my Mom just couldn't watch her. So, I got off work a little early and picked Abby up and we stopped at Kroger for a few things. Then we had to head over to Kohl's and get a baby gift for my friend at work, Emily. She had a baby girl on Thursday. Man, I'm gonna miss her these next 3 months! Well, then I'll be on maternity leave, so I technically won't work with her for the next 5 months! So, we got a couple of outfits for the baby and then picked up McDonald's for dinner and headed home. I can't even remember what we did, but obviously not much! I've had a thing for ice cream cones, so Brian finally just bought the fixins and I have one almost every night, but he has to make it for me b/c he does is the best! ha!

Saturday morning, Brian's back and neck hurt so bad he couldn't even make himself get out of bed, so I took Abby to her tumbling class. She had a blast, as usual. I stopped and got her some hashbrowns and cini-minis from Burger King on the way home since she really didn't have breakfast. I ate most of the cini-minis and probably 1/2 the hashbrowns...lol. I had to run the dog to the groomer and then I got back and hurried to get ready. Diana and I were going to see Emily and the baby in the hospital. See, they live in Cinci, so we wanted to see her before she went home, or else we knew it could be awhile. Brian was still in bed, so I was going to drop Abby off to play with "Uncle Ffej". Well, I decided to just call and make sure it was still okay to go and they said she'd already been discharged!!!! 8 hours early! Arrgghh! So, we missed her. We were both bummed, but in a way I was also relieved b/c I was just exhausted.

So, my Dad got his 8 hour day pass on Saturday to leave the rehab unit and go home for a bit. This allows him to see how he'll do when he gets home and if he's really ready or not. He comes home on Wednesday. So, Brian finally drug himself out of bed and got ready and we headed over to my parents around 12:30. We had an appt., so they were keeping Abby for us. So, after our appt. I dropped Brian off at home so he could get his car and go pick up the dog and then I went back to my parents. I visited for a bit and helped my Mom and then Abby and I headed home. OH, I guess I should mention that Saturday was also my parents 40th Anniversary, so it worked out well that my Dad got to go home for the day. My brother also worked it out to get them Outback carry-out so they could still have a nice anniversary dinner. My Dad did pretty well. With Chad's help, he went up and down the stairs once to make sure he could do it and he could. It wore him out, but he can. Once he gets home, he'll pretty much just go downstairs and stay and then go upstairs at night so he doesn't have to do it much.

Let's see....oh, I also mowed the grass on Saturday and did very well. Before you all freak out, I did check with my doctor and they said as long as it's something I did before I was pregnant (and there are no hills in my yard) then it was fine. I was tired, but I was still able to do it and get a little exercise, which made me feel good.

Sunday was hectic. We went to my in-laws church and they go to the early service, which is at 8:45, so we had to get up early. After church, they had a professional photographer there taking family pictures, so my MIL was thrilled that we were all there for a picture. I hope it turns out good. We left there and I desperately wanted breakfast (the other craving of mine) but every good breakfast place was packed, so we ended up at this restaurant we've never been to before and it sucked! The food wasn't good and Abby was being a brat....just not a great Mother's Day meal for me! After that, we headed to the hospital to see my Dad and have Mother's Day with my Mom. We stayed until they took my Dad for therapy at 1:30 and headed home. I was exhausted! I laid down and took a short nap. I'm always afraid of sleeping too long, so I only slept about an hour, if that. I don't even think Abby took a nap at all. She was talking when I dozed off and talking when I got up! lol. We just hung around the rest of the day. Brian and Abby got me a new Willow Tree figurine. It's the "Mother and Daughter" one. So, that was my Mother's Day!

Abby's a trip these days. We're having a MAJOR problem with disciplining her lately. Nothing seems to work and she can be the biggest little monster. I was so embarrassed at breakfast yesterday. I told Brian it's children like her that I look at the parents and think what horrible parents they are to let their child act like that. We try taking things away, time outs, swats on the leg (she's still in diapers) but nothing seems to really work. I desperately need to read that book The Strong-Willed Child! Now on the other hand, she can be very sweet and caring when she wants to be. She's also saying a lot these days and repeating a lot. I wish I could remember the things she says b/c I always think at the time I want to put that in my blog, and then I forget!

Baby boy is doing well too, although at times I'm sure he's an alien. Abby never kicked, rolled, or pushed on me as much as this child does. Even as I'm typing right now, he's moving a lot and making me uncomfortable. He's apparently also making me pee my pants. I had some "leakage" for lack of a better work on Friday and I called my doctor and she said it's most likely the baby pushing on my bladder and making me pee some when I'm not realizing it....again, never happened with Abby. Go figure. No name yet....we're working on it.

I can't believe I only have 2 1/2 more months. It's scary to think about!!!! Well, I guess I'd better get back to work! Hope you all have a good one!

I'm so glad that your dad got to spend their anniversary OUT of the hospital. I hope that everything works out and he comes home Wednesday! I know it's been exhausting for you....you've been such a great daughter for them!

That's funny about the pee. I'm doing that too! lol! I can make it to the potty and there are wet spots there. WHAT?!!?!? Baby Bubba is just using my bladder as a trampoline!

Okay, not my journal, huh? Lots of Love!
