Saturday....

This will be a quick one b/c I'm ready to hit the hay!

We took Piglet to her 2 month checkup yesterday. She weighed in at 7 lbs. and 15 oz. and she's now 20 inches long. She's in the bottom 3 percentile, which isn't too surprising. Her doctor thinks she'll probably make it up in the next year. The right side of her head is flat, signifying she sleeps a lot with her head turned that way. The doctor told us we need to start getting her to turn the other way by putting a rolled up towel or something next to her head so she can't turn that way. She got her 3 shots and she cried so hard. I cried with her. They had given us some Tylenol and I was trying to open the bottle to get it ready when the nurse put the needles in. It just broke my heart! I was trying to keep it together. Hubby saw I was struggling so he picked her up after the nurse was done to console her. The nurse had to help me open the stupid bottle and once we gave her the Tylenol, I took her from hubby and cuddled her. She stopped crying after a few minutes and seemed to calm down. She was fussy after we got her home and ended up running a low grade fever last night. Other than that, she was a champ! She slept pretty well last night, considering.

I got up with her this morning around 8am and she was so smiley! I got smile after smile! It just makes me so happy when she smiles at me!

We just hung around the house all day. My parents stopped over for a bit and then my brothers. We're trying Piglet out in her crib tonight, so I'm hoping she sleeps well.

I'm off to bed! See most of you in the morning! Thanks again for your prayers for hubby. Keep on praying! He's really dreading work on Monday and just doesn't know if he can work a full day. I'm praying for a miracle! We can't afford for him to miss anymore work!

Night!

Bless her heart!! I cry everytime mine have to get shots, although we don't do all of them. Otherwise they'd have 4 every time they go! Not cool.

Next time, see if they'll let you nurse her while the nurse gives the shot. That always made it easier for mine. Some nurses aren't comfortable w/ that, but I always ask.

I get all misty when I get those smiles and think how precious they are!

Good luck w/ the crib!

I'm continuing to pray that your hubby's back heals up fast and that $ issues are taken care of, miraculously if necessary! :)

Much love!

I got upset too when Pita Pocket gets his shots. He gets wierd when he gets them....his eyes turn green (like mine do when I'm mad) and he zones out and turns very red. It's almost like the Incredible Hulk! Scary!
Enjoy those smiles. I sure do....but then they get to talk!!! Smart allecks and cuteness only takes them so far!
Sorry about your hubby. I really hope that something comes through for him. Poor thing!
Lots of Love!
