So, Abby got her Little Tikes Swing and Slide Castle Wednesday night. My MIL called around 8pm and said she had just picked it up at Walmart and she was on the way! I guess she wanted to go ahead and unload it so she didn't have to mess with it Thursday morning when she came over to watch the girls. Abby was drinking some milk before bed, so I just kept her up so that MIL could see her. We sat outside and waited for her and a few minutes later she showed up. I expected Brian to put it together the next day, but he went ahead and started it and an hour and a half later (10pm) it was done! It would have been done sooner, but he put the slide on the opposite side of the swing and it had to go that way for everything to fit properly, so he had to go back and do a couple of things over. Abby seems to like it. MIL had her out there yesterday, showing her how to climb up on it to slide down. She can climb up there okay, but she can't figure out how to get from her knees to her butt. I took her outside last night and she preferred to walk around and pick up sticks! LOL. It was cracking me up. A couple of times I "made" her slide down just so I could see. She had her sticks in hand the whole time, though. ha ha!
I've been doing really well this week on Weight Watchers. I can't remember if I mentioned it in my last post or not, but my cousin has the chart to see how many points your weight corresponds to, so now I know and I can do it. We did have pizza last night, but I'm still okay on points this week. I only had a piece and a half.
We're having my family over tomorrow night to celebrate Father's Day. We're going to grill out. I'm actually going to the store on my lunch today to get stuff. Sunday, we're going to church with Brian's parents and then going to their house for lunch and swimming. That way I can put Abby down for a nap over there. Their house is less than 5 minutes from church, so that works out really well. I still need to get my FIL something. He's the hardest to buy for. He buys himself whatever he wants, so it's frustrating. He does love his pool and accessories for the pool, so we may stop at Watson's tomorrow and see if we can get him something fun.
Abby's talking a lot now. You can't understand 99% of it, but she's talking, nonetheless. She loves being outside (and now picking up sticks). She's still so darn stubborn. She refuses to let us feed her no matter what it is. This morning, Brian said she ate yogurt and some cereal with her hands. LOL. She'll try the spoon for a couple of minutes and then realize that using her hands is easier.
Brian's the same. His back problems are still there, but they've just been brushed under the rug for now. He needs to make an appointment to meet with the surgeon again. We know he needs this other surgery and the physical therapy really didn't help much. The worst part for him is the nights. A lot of time he can't fall asleep because his back hurts. There have been several nights where at most he got a couple of hours of sleep. So, just please continue to pray for him. I really don't know what the answer is. If he has the surgery, he could be out of work anywhere from 6-12 months and I don't know how we'd pay our bills. It's just a scary thought.
I hope you all have a nice weekend! Until next week....

Funny how we get our kids these expensive toys and then they like things like boxes...and sticks! lol! Glad your MIL did that for her though. She will love it soon enough...like when ya'll have 10 inches of snow! lol!
I hate that Brian's back is still that bad. I can't imagine the thought of him being out 6-12 months. Praying for his back to heal.
I love the stage where you can't understand but a few words (talking about Abby here! lol). What a fun age!
Lots of Love!
Have you taken Abby to a "real" park yet? Just wait, someday you'll be sitting there and she'll come up to you and say a complete sentence and you'll wonder who that genius child is!
Prayers for Brian (and for your weight watchers, I know you'll do great!)
