My Dad

We could really use everyone's prayers right now. My dad had a heart attack yesterday. He was feeling some pain in his neck and shoulder when he woke up and didn't think much about it, but as the day wore on, it was radiating down his leg and arm and he was having some numbness, so he told my mom he thought he should go to the hospital. They called an ambulence and when the paramedics took his BP, it was 229/100. They got him to Kettering and gave him some nitroglycerin tabs and aspirin and his BP went down and he was feeling better. After doing some bloodwork, they found that his heart enzyme levels were elevated and that concerned them since he had stints put in his heart a couple of years ago. They kept him overnight and have been running more tests today and something showed up in his bloodwork that he had a heart attack. Praise the Lord he told my mom and brother that he needed to go to the hospital! That's not like my dad to admit pain, so I can't even imagine what could have happened if he hadn't spoken up. They're doing a heart cath tomorrow to see how much blockage he has. Please pray about this! Remember they also have no insurance, so that will be another burden to bear when this is all over with.

If that hasn't been bad enough, we had a hose break under our sink today and water poured out everywhere. It took Hubby about 5 minutes to get the water shut off and it was just pouring out the whole time. We were able to quickly get towels down, so we kept it from going under our living room carpet, but we just hope there's no other damage. Kdog is coming over tomorrow to replace the hose. I just hope it's not pricey!
