Time flies!

My baby is 8 months old today! I don't want my baby to grow up. I forgot to tell you that she said her first word....MA-MA! Repeating it to her over and over paid off! She's big into ma-ma and ba-ba sounds right now. No da-da. I've been saying that to her too, but she hasn't said it herself so far. She still doesn't have any teeth yet. I swear she's been teething forever! She goes through spurts of running a small fever or being cranky or drooling a lot. We were dealing with it last night. After I put her to bed she woke up about 4 or 5 times by 11pm. You could tell her gums were bothering her. I gave her Tylenol and then some Motrin awhile later. That finally did the trick and she was in bed for the night at 11:30. Poor thing.

Yesterday was a fun day at work. The focus was team building. They split us up into 2 teams and we did a scavenger hunt. Both teams got all the items, so for the tie breaker, 6 people from each team got together to list as many items from the scavenger list as we could in 3 minutes. Our team lost by 1 item! It was okay, though, b/c the prize was for the winning team to go to lunch with the owners of the company. Not much of a prize to me! They brought in Graeter's ice cream for everyone, though. It was so yummy! If you've never been there, I highly recommend it. So, that was nice.

We watched BB7 last night. If you don't watch it, just skip to the next paragraph. So, I've never really liked Janelle anyway, but I think she shot herself in the foot last night. She already had the floaters against her, but now she's shaking her alliance's confidence in her, so they may not back her anymore. Why she's trusting Will and Boogie, I have no idea. I don't like them much either, but I think their "phone conversations" are humorous! I don't like James either, but I don't blame him for being mad when he made his decision about Jase based on the alliance and now all of a sudden Janelle is doing what's best for her. Dumb! I can't wait to see her get the boot!

There are a few people who need prayer.....the family of JJ's husband's boss (got that?), my Dad...he had a job interview last week that could be great for them, Hubby.....the pain management people just plain suck. They're so rude to him and yesterday his doctor was just such a jerk. We're meeting with one of the surgeon's on Monday. Hubby met with him previously and this is the one who wanted to basically hold him off with surgery since he's so young and treat him with epidurals. We're just going to go and get more info. All the journals gals and babies. Love you all!

Yeah...so I LOVE that BB just took a twist though. It would've been boring if the Season 6 Alliance stayed together the whole time. I think it is going to get VERY interesting!!!!

I can't believe Piglet still doesn't have any teeth! Bless her heart! It is probably hurting her a ton to get them through. Have you guys bought any of that Baby Anbecol (no clue how to spell that). That always worked for I-Man....FAB wasn't a big fan, but it worked like a charm for him.

Praying....Love ya!

Thanks for warning me about the BB paragraph! LOL! Between you and Jodi, I don't have to watch it!

So sorry that she is feeling bad with her teeth. I have no advice...Pita Pocket got his first tooth at 3 months!

I hate that the doctors are being such jerks to your hubby. Has he talked to his surgeon about what jerks they are? Maybe that will help.

I love Graeter's ice cream. We got a gift certificate (I mean Hubby got one) for minister appreciation month. I LOVE that ice cream....sounds good for tonight. Yummy!

Lots of Love!

I'm so jealous...the only ice cream we have around here is Dairy Queen. Not that that isn't great...but a choice would be nice!

Well, look at it this way, the longer a baby goes without teeth, the stronger and healthier they'll be. At least, that's what they told me when J-Man was born. He was an early teether. I would suggest trying teething tablets, they're usually over by the vitamins because they're homeopathic (non-medicinal/chemical/all natural, whatever). We used those with J-Man and they worked better than Tylenol or Orajel. And I didn't have to fight him to take them!

Okay, this is long enough to be a post in itself. Hope Piglet sleeps better tonight.
