Quick Update....

*The following was started on Thursday*

One more day of work this week! Yippee! Piglet's killing me with waking up at night! She's teething pretty bad now. She's been doing it off and on for the past couple of months, but the past couple of days it's been non-stop. Last night I was up 3 times with her for a total of almost 3 hours! When my alarm goes off at 5:30, those nights make it very rough! I've been rotating Tylenol and Motrin and I got her some baby Orojel yesterday. Hubby is with her today and he said she hasn't been bad, so I guess she's feeling better. At 8 months old, you would think she'd be very close to getting her first tooth.

Big Brother and So You Think You Can Dance is on tonight and I'm excited. I don't have much else going on. I'll give Piglet a bath and pray that she sleeps through the night. Yeah, right....One thing she's also been doing is waking up at night and playing. I'll wake up and hear her messing around in her crib at 2 or 3 in the morning. She turns her aquarium on and turns herself to the side and kicks it with her feet. Weird child. Did any of your kids wake up and play at night? I was reading that it's pretty common around this time. They tend to wake up more when they are about to or when they have already reached a milestone. She's so close to crawling, so that's probably why. It drives me bonkers! If she could go back to sleep on her own, it wouldn't be so bad, but after awhile, she gets bored and cries until I come and get her and put her back to sleep. I still hold her until she goes to sleep before I put her to bed at night. I know I shouldn't be doing that, but she's too stubborn to cry herself to sleep. Any advice on that?

*This is from Today*

Piglet slept better last night. I heard her playing at 4 something and I didn't get up. I had turned the monitor down even lower than usual last night, so that I could still hear her if she cries, but not necessarily if she's just playing or something. Anyway, I heard her anyway, so I tried to doze a bit. She started crying around 5:15 or so, so I just got up since I would have been up 15 minutes later anyway and fed her and then she went back to sleep for another 45 minutes to an hour.

So, no big surprise that they voted Diane out last night. When they start trying to make you think things will be different (like voting Erica out to make a statement), they never are. I just hope that someone other than the season 6 people win the HOH. If James wins it, I'm not so sure that he would go through with putting Janelle up. I think they would talk him out of it. It will be interesting, that's for sure!

Not much else going on. My dad still hasn't heard about the Time Warner job, so keep praying. They told him it could be a week to 10 days. Hubby has a meeting on Monday with his boss, his boss' boss, and the HR people about this whole part-time/insurance thing. I'm praying his boss will reiterate what she originally told Hubby and that they will honor that. We'll see.

I'm not sure what we're doing this weekend. My in-laws might be going to Georgia to Hubby's cousin's college graduation. We might go out to their house and swim, but if they're gone, that means we'd have to clean the pool, and that's no fun! I need to do some stuff around the house. At least he humidity will be much better than it has been the last few days! Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll see most of you Sunday!

No advice about playing at night. Pita Pocket did it. I don't have advice....except to tell her to have fun playing! LOL!

Thanks for the info on the paragraph. I'm just gonna have to get into that show, I guess.

What will your dad be doing? Just wondering since it was TW...will he be doing what DaddyMac does?

Lots of Love!

Did I miss somewhere where you said that your dad needed a job??? I thought he had a great job. I suppose I was wrong.

Pretty played at night. But I would just let her cry or she'd fall back asleep on her own. I would let her cry way more than 15 minutes especially at 8 months old. Now she knows you'll come eventually. Boo NEVER woke up. That baby loves to sleep. Even now, I just put her in bed for a nap and she goes to sleep. I think that is because we had sooo much trouble with Pretty about sleeping. Not staying asleep, but even going to bed and staying there. It really didn't get better til we moved and she got her big bed. Never a problem since we've been here. Yet another reason it was great that we moved!!! Hope you figure out something fun to do this weekend. Hope it doesn't include yard work. I think you have met your quota on extention cords!!! LOL

See ya Sunday!

Hey girl! I must be the only one that didnt' have any kids that "played" in their cribs. The minute one was awake we'd know it LOL! But now my almost 3 year old is starting to "play" in her bed so thats fun. She's likes to look at books and sing and clap her hands. Its sweet at times!! Hey hope ya have a good weekend and I'd go swimming if it was me. But the cleaning the pool out part doesn't sound like fun!! See ya!
