So, it's Monday. Yuck! I have an update on Hubby and his doctor problems. Thursday afternoon, I called the doctor's office myself. I got to the receptionist and explained that Hubby had called Tues. and Wed. with no response. She put me on hold for several minutes and another woman comes on (a nurse, I presume) and in a very rude tone says that the doctor isn't prescribing him anything. I (very nicely) told her that the doctor had said when Hubby gets an epidural, he would prescribe him something and I explained that he has one scheduled and he's had to miss work , etc. She very rudely again said he wasn't giving him anything. I told her I wanted to speak to the doctor then and she said he's seeing patients, so I asked her if she'd take a message and have him call me. I really didn't expect him to call, but he did! I was talking to Hubby at the time, so when I got done, the receptionist told me he had called. Well, I called him back and we talked for about 10 or 15 minutes. I kept it very nice and professional, even though I wanted to rip his eyes out and call him on his lies. He explained to me his concern over Hubby taking opiates and how he didn't want to prescribe him those, etc. I won't go into everything b/c it could take awhile, but in the end, he told me to call his office manager directly and set up the epidural appts. You get them in a series of 3, a week apart. So, I talked to Hubby and basically said we need to "play his game" right now and just do it, so I called the office manager back and set it up. I was asking her some questions about the epidurals and she asked me to hold b/c the doctor was coming out of a patient's room and she would ask. She came back and answered my question and asked if I could be there before they closed at 5 to pick up a prescription for Hubby. I said yes and took off. I got there and the doc prescribed him Vicodin! I figured that he just said he wouldn't prescribe that to get Brian off his back. Once he saw Hubby was going to be open to trying something new, he thought he'd meet him halfway. That's my take on it anyway. I still think he's a lying sack of poo, but right now, we don't have a choice.
Hubby has only taken 2 since he got the prescription. He's really trying not to take it b/c after going through the withdrawals, he really doesn't want to go through it a second time. He's still dealing with a lot of pain, so the continued prayers are appreciated! He goes for his first epidural tomorrow morning, so we're praying these work! We don't know if he'll get any relief after the first one or not, but we'll see.
BIL's grandpa died on Friday, so we're going to the viewing tonight. It was BIL's birthday too, so what an awful day he had! I guess his dad's taking it very hard, so please remember them in your prayers too!
I cleaned on Saturday. I went through some stacks of crap that were on the bottom of our 2 end tables. I also dusted and vacuumed and cleaned the shower. I made Hubby go look at it and praise me b/c it looks sparkling clean! :) Yesterday, I swept the floors, did 3 loads of laundry, and the usual dishes, etc. Our room needs to be cleaned, but Hubby needs to put some stuff away first. I also mowed. I was a busy beaver!
I've been working on Piglet to go to sleep on her own. I'll lay her down at night and she immedately rolls over and starts playing. I leave her in there awhile and then go in and lay her back down and sometimes pat her. When she starts to get fussy, I'll let her cry awhile and then go in and pat her or pick her up and hold her until she calms down and gets relaxed and then I'll lay her down again and she'll usually drift off to sleep by that time. It's been taking about an hour and a half for this. I've been successful the past few nights, as long as I'm patient! She even took naps in her own bed over the weekend doing the same thing. It's like I have to just let her get so warn out that she can't fight it anymore! And oh how she fights it! She is the most stubborn child! I have no idea where she gets it either....My parents are with her today and I told my Mom what I was trying to do with her, so she's been trying to do it too. Well, I kept checking in with her and by lunchtime, Piglet still hadn't been to sleep! The stinker! My mom said she just kept playing and she was in the best mood! Finally, around 2:45 I talked to my Mom and she said she had been asleep for a little over an hour. I guess she finally wore herself down, fussed a little, and went to sleep on her own! At least she did it! Ornery child!
BB Comments
So, I was glad Howie went last night, even if George was stupid for not putting up Janelle. The point of the game is to win the money. If you're not going to take out the competition when you have the chance, then you shouldn't be playing the game! Dumb move, George! I was also glad Boogie got HOH. I just didn't want Janelle to get it. Now, it wouldn't surprise me if they decided not to put her up b/c that's just how this game goes....we'll see.
End of BB Comments
That's it for now. Nothing else exciting going on. Love ya'll!

I can't thank ya'll enough for warning me before BB comments. I have no idea who these people are and now all of you are putting warnings and closings before/after the comments. It just cracks me up....and I like it! LOL!
Let's see, where does Piglet get her stubbornness?!?!? Ummmmm...do ya want me to answer that!?! LOL!
I am SO glad that you got to talk to the doctor! That is wonderful that at least he's willing to meet ya'll 1/2 way. I wish they were nicer about it, but they now know that you mean business 'cuz you called!!!!!
Lots of Love!
Sometimes dealing with nurses can be a bigger pain than dealing with the doctor! Well, I'm glad that hubby has a pain relief available now and hope the epidural helps too. Definitely in my prayers!
I'm with HBM, thanks for the BB warnings! Soo...now when AI starts y'all are gonna do this too, right? Or am I just going to have to watch the show?
So glad that things are moving in the right direction, it seems, for your Hubby. Hopefully the shots help!!!
